When Toby & Emilie met with me to talk about their New Years Eve wedding I was immediately thrilled about what their day was going to be like. They are just all around incredibly kind and genuine people and I knew their day was going to be an experience that would be hard to top. My wife Megan and I worked together on this one and it was seriously the best way we could spend our New Years Eve. It made both of us wish that we could attend New Years Eve weddings every year.
One of the best parts of the whole experience is what happened at the very end of the night. Emilie had wanted it to snow on their wedding day from the very beginning, but instead Kansas City gave them ultra cold weather and not a single snow flake. A week or so before their wedding I got an email from Emilie's mom explaining that she had already began setting up a way to give her daughter snow on her wedding day. When it came time for a little sparkler lighting celebration after ringing in the New Year everyone went outside and to Emilie's suprise, it was snowing. Her mom had rented a snow machine and had snow launching off the roof of the venue. It capped off a spectacular day and evening with a truly magical moment.
Here's some images from their day (way later on this blog than I would have liked)
